Winnitex Group Sales Director Tracy Ng recently attended Premiere Vision Paris, the leading industry event for fashion designers and manufacturers.
The event took place at Paris-Nord Villepinte, attracting leading executives from the six major industries that provide materials and services to the global fashion industry. Premiere Vision showcased fashion and color trends for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2022-23 season.
“Premiere Vision Paris is a place to find design inspiration and meet with the sharpest minds in the fashion industry, from across the globe,” Ng said.
Ng said a highlight for her was being able to attend the event in person for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, and emphasized how valuable it was to be able to see physical products. Ng said that the event was “bustling,” and she valued the opportunity to have discussions with exhibitors and designers.
A key takeaway was new, innovative ways to make Winnitex products eco-friendly and sustainable. Ng found particular value in the Eco-Innovation Trend program, which focused on combining high quality materials to prolong the longevity of garments.
Ng oversees some of Winnitex’s largest apparel brand accounts and is responsible for company research and development. She was named sales director for the company in 1997. Ng earned an undergraduate degree in textile chemistry from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an MBA from the University of Stirling in Scotland, UK.
Winnitex, which was family-founded in Hong Kong in 1964, is a leading manufacturer of dyed woven fabrics. Winnitex also designs and creates custom seasonal fabric collections for its customers.
Based in Paris, Premiere Vision has been organizing textile and fashion trade fairs around the world for almost 50 years.
