Winnitex Chief Sales Officer Yvonne Wai met fellow textile leaders to discuss sustainability and “the new frontier of retail” at the American Apparel and Footwear Association’s (AAFA) Executive Summit 2022.
The event, held March 9-11 at the Hilton Washington, D.C. National Mall, featured discussions on ESG, climate policy and Gen Z and millennial fashion perspectives.
“Winnitex is committed to growing responsibly” said Wai. “It’s helpful to discuss strategies and technologies with the leading textile companies in the world.”
The meeting’s keynote speaker was Kevin Plank, Founder and Executive Chairman of Under Armour, Inc., based in Baltimore.
Other speakers at the conference included Ginny Clarke, former director of executive recruiting at Google, and Jonathan Swan, National Political Reporter with Axios. Wai has been Chief Sales Officer for Winnitex since 2008. She oversees the sales and marketing at Winnitex.
Winnitex was family-founded in Hong Kong in 1964. It has more than 3,000 employees, including production facilities in Nicaragua and Vietnam.
